Privacy Policy
Calciq is built to do as little as possible with your data. Here is exactly what we collect and why.

What we collect
We collect as little as the app can function with. The only information stored on our servers is an anonymous user identifier issued by Sign in with Apple, together with a per-user, per-month count of how many AI queries you have made. The identifier is used solely to enforce your monthly AI query limit of 200 free queries, and it cannot be used to identify you personally. Your query count is the only thing kept server-side, and no query text is retained once a response has been returned.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information. We do not collect your calculation history or the content of your queries, and we do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data. Beyond the monthly query count described above, there is no analytics or usage telemetry of any kind.
On-device storage
Your calculation history is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers.
AI queries
When a query falls outside Calciq's built-in parser, it is sent to our backend and forwarded to an AI model through an AI gateway. Query text is processed in memory to generate a response and is not stored or logged by us. Third-party AI providers may apply their own data handling policies.
Sign in with Apple
Calciq uses Sign in with Apple exclusively to gate AI queries. Apple's privacy-preserving authentication means we receive only an opaque user identifier. We never receive your name or email unless you explicitly choose to share them, which we do not request.
Data retention
Your anonymous query count is reset at the start of each calendar month and is permanently deleted if you stop using the app. There is no account to delete. Sign in with Apple can be revoked at any time from your Apple ID settings.
Children's privacy
Calciq does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising and no social features.
